How it Works
Need to expediently drop your drawers? (We don't need to know why.) Just pull the latch, and you're good to go. Done with wearing a belt altogether? Grab the belt firmly, and for dramatic effect, rip it off as fast as you can! It's very satisfying.
The buckle stays adjusted to you, so there's no need to re-adjust when you put it back on later. And the EPOCH is built to last ages, so you can play with it as much as you like, and you don't have to feel bad about it ;)
Overbuilt Construction
Being CNC machined from aerospace aluminum, these buckles are stronger than anything you would normally need in a belt, and the webbing strength is in the thousands of pounds. To test that hypothesis, we harnessed the strongest force known to man, two huskies that know they're going to the dog park!
Doing it Right: IN AMERICA!!!
EPOCH is manufactured in Tucson, AZ. This isn't the cheapest way to make a belt, but it gives us complete freedom and control.
CNC machined, assembled, and sewn under the same roof: Some people think you can't manufacture apparel in the USA anymore. We enjoy proving those people wrong :)
Yuki and Hoshi don't need a belt. They don't wear pants.
Testimonials
Here's what some of our customers have to say about their Epoch:
“Great Belt, simply put it works”
“I haven't had too much of a chance to wear my belts, but feedback wise... these are great! I bought a couple of Kore ratchet EDC belts before but I have grown to hate the tail on them. These are definitely going to replace those in my wardrobe.”
“Way better than the original cobra buckle for EDC purposes. I'm not sure if it can support as much weight, but on a regular use case, this is easier to add / remove to pants, quicker to release, and better looking.”
“I love this belt. I've loved your other belts but this one knocks it out of the park. I didn't like that I had to tuck the tail in the other way at first but it's really not that bad. Thanks for putting out such awesome products.”
“This is my 3rd belt from Carbon Tactics and it's my favorite. The mechanism locks fast and the release is simple. Also, these guys customer service is top notch. I recommend this to all my friends. Keep up the great work!”
“Received mine in Malaysia, Thanks !”
“Been wearing my biothane belt for almost a week now and I am absolutely in love. This belt it top notch and I'm showing it off to everyone. Thanks for a perfect product. You guys nailed it with the Epoch”
“Love this belt! Solid build and strong, rigid strap material. This thing should last forever. Took about five minutes to trim excess. Bought the gray w/silver latch. Perfect color scheme for my tastes, and looks good with all my pants. Have worn it every day for nearly two weeks comfortably and issue-free.”
“So far so good! Easier to work with than a cobra buckle, and no major issues despite my concerns. Only thing that could use improvement would be rounding or cutting the corners of the hook end so that it slides a bit smoother through belt loops (catches in Dickies). Might also be nice if the outside chamfer was larger (or at least top and bottom of buckles).”
“Like the ability to adjust. Still very stiff. It’s a little tough to get get it set for your size.”
“This belt is amazing and fixed all the issues with the older versions (buckle bulge in front, clip too large to fit through belt loops, daily belt “creep” making it loose). This iteration is the pinnacle of perfection. No complaints this time around. Worth every cent.”
“Great product will buy again”
“Great belt so far, easy to close and open. Belt material very stout and secure.”
Belt Sizing Notes
In order to make sure you get the exact size you need, we have created a sizing chart to reference.
"Waist Size" is the distance around your waist, as measured through the belt loops of your pants. Note that your "waist size" is usually slightly larger than your Pants Size, partly because the belt has to wrap around your pants in addition to your waist, and partly because most pants are trying to make you feel a bit skinnier than you may actually be! All belts will be made longer than your waist size, to provide room for adjustment.
For double layer belts, the sizing is most critical. MEASURE YOUR WAIST WITH A TAPE MEASURE, THROUGH THE BELT LOOPS if you are unsure, and reference the WAIST SIZE column of the chart below.
For reference: The Cipher, Epoch, Bezel and Ti Hook webbing (all variations) fit through all Kuhl™ brand clothing. If your current 1 1/2" belt fit, these belts will fit.
If the sizing chart does not go small or large enough for you, email: CarbonTactics@215Gear.com for a custom quote.
